Known locally as Corp, Corporation has been a home for Sheffield’s music, nightlife and alternative community since 1997. Across multiple rooms, it combines touring live acts with established weekly club nights and a fiercely independent identity.
Through a Red Bull lens, Corporation is about frequency, loyalty and access to a distinctive consumer. Its student-heavy club nights and year-round live programme create repeat high-energy occasions where strong availability and visibility can convert at scale.
For the Sheffield Hotzone, Corporation is more than a volume account—it is a genuine cultural institution with permission to reach audiences few other venues can.
OPPOROTUNITIES & CHALLENGES
Opportunities
Corporation delivers huge volume alongside unrivalled relevance within Sheffield’s alternative and student communities. David genuinely loves Red Bull, understands the value we bring and is open to building the partnership.
At just 24, he is already leading one of Sheffield’s most influential nightclubs and is likely to build a significant venue estate. The long-term opportunity is therefore bigger than Corporation, it is about developing a future multi-site operator relationship early.
Challenges
The principal challenge is the structure of the contract I agreed. The £2 retro is rolled into marketing spend, creating a sizeable commitment that has proved difficult to deploy against activity with a clear return.
Drink prices also change between nights, making screen scheduling highly complex and increasing the risk of incorrect communication. David’s part-ownership of TREB a triple shot and mixer RTD, creates further competitive tension and gives a fierce competitor a direct route into the account.
