HAZY CLUB

Modern energy. Student relevance. Built for late nights.

Located on Eyre Street, Hazy Club is a modern, high-energy nightclub built around hip-hop, R&B and urban music. Its circular bar, VIP areas, large screens and distinctive lighting create a polished environment designed for Sheffield’s student audience.

Through a Red Bull lens, Hazy is about recruitment, frequency and visibility. Its late-night trading and student-led calendar provide a natural platform for cold availability, the right range, Perfect Serve and bold branded touchpoints.

For the Sheffield Hotzone, Hazy is a key growth account—new enough to shape, relevant enough to matter and positioned to become a major driver of student-led volume.

OPPOROTUNITIES & CHALLENGES

Opportunities

Hazy is already a high-volume account with significant headroom. It is taking over Tank’s infamous Monday-night session, while the imminent opening of Room 2 will add capacity for a further 1,000 consumers.

The site also carries the heritage of CODE, which historically delivered around three pallets per week, clear proof of the location’s potential. Arguably Sheffield’s best-looking nightclub, Hazy offers both major volume and genuine A-Image value.

Contract discussions remain positive, provided the required support can be matched with a realistic and sustainable workload.

Challenges

Ownership can be highly demanding and difficult to align with, creating risk around expectations, decision-making and execution. Launching immediately after a bank-holiday weekend and running no events during Freshers meant missing two major recruitment opportunities.

The original concept was heavily weighted towards Sheffield’s Chinese-student market, creating an overly narrow audience strategy that has required a late repositioning. The opportunity is substantial, but it needs clearer decisions, broader programming and firm commercial boundaries.
