JOY ORBISON & NEFFA-T

Few names have had such a seismic effect on the electronic dance scene as Joy Orbison. He has been shaping and redefining dance music since his teenage years. After his highly anticipated debut longform project still slipping vol.1. The album caused shockwaves through the scene, winning album of the year and is widely regarded as one of the best electronic album of recent years.

First coming to prominence in 2009, the London musician, DJ and producer is undoubtedly one of the most respected and influential electronic artists of his generation. Whether through his own game-changing releases such as “Ellipsis”, “GR Etiquette”, "Hyph Mngo", “Big Room Tech House DJ Tool-TIP!” or "red velve7", collaborations with the likes of Mansur Brown, Overmono, cult UK skate label Palace and cutting edge Japanese clothing label Cav Empt, a run of genre-defining releases on his Hinge Finger label, a BBC Radio 1 residency, Grand Theft Auto radio station or live appearances that span the most credible underground nights to festival headline slots around the world, the name Joy Orbison has been a constant byword for understated, uncompromising quality.

2022 was another defining year for Joy Orbison. March's "pinky ring" saw Joy Orbison release one of his most dancefloor-focused tracks in recent times while a second collaboration with Overmono, “Blind Date” became one of the year’s biggest anthems, alongside his acclaimed remix of Jorja Smith's "Rose Rouge".

Moving to present day, fresh off the release of Freedom2 with the notorious Kwengface and Overmono he joins us in Loft in the middle of a run of shows that include WHP. Durham truly hasn't seen a DJ nevermind a producer of this calibre for many, many years. Don't sleep on us.

Joy Orbison is joined by none other than Neffa-T. With over thirteen years of involvement in the music industry, spanning across events, radio and festivals, Bristol-based Neffa-T continues to channel his creativity and love for music through fun, experimental and high-energy DJ sets, as witnessed via his jaw-dropping Keep Hush, Boiler Room & HÖR live streams. Covering a boundless range of electronic music, Neffa-T utilises three or four decks to deliver a mesmerising & unique combination of influences, his own productions and rare, unreleased tracks; pushing creative boundaries always. We'd argue there isn't a better technical mixer in the UK right now. Prepare to amazed.
