GES B2B BEN PROPHET

GES //

Hailing from Galway, Ireland the high octane Dj and Producer provides high energy, feel good sounds to the dancefloor. GES' performance and sublime production has seen him rub shoulders with some of the best rising artists in the scene.

His stellar production has been recognised by labels such as Zone Focus, Reboot Records and Houz. Each release has propelled him up the ranks and is now a real dance force to be reckoned with. His forthcoming EP with Chapeau has been causing a stir amongst the scene and I'm sure we'll get a sneaky insight on the night. With numerous gigs to follow GES is hot topic right now and we're delighted to have him.

BEN PROPHET //

Firm favourite amongst the Durham ranks the irish born party starter returns for another instalment. Born into Ireland’s bustling party scene, Ben Prophet has been surrounded by music from an early age. His introduction to the rave world began with a regular slot for Reprezent Radio focused on discovering new talent, before more recently turning his hand to the darker shades of electronic music.
After relocating to Newcastle to pursue a career in music, his new-found style has quickly burst into the limelight, following a string of support from heavyweight artists including HAAi, VTSS and Mall Grab. His instantly recognisable sound merges gritty, piercing drums with mechanical sounding vocals and percussion to form a raucous blend of techno-induced beats.
His high-energy sets are laced with unhinged basslines, shapeshifting synths and skillfully layered samples which will leave your feet burning holes in the dance floor.

BLOG

Ben Prophet and I pick up Ges and his girlfriend from Newcastle Airport. A short venture to the North East from his hometown Galway. Ben and Gary (GES) have been good friends for a very long time, collaborating on multiple tracks, teasing one another on social media, moat likely for promotional purposes and just generally acting like good friends do. Yet, by booking them both I didn't know this would be the first time they're meeting. The two are hugely connected in the Irish scene and have supported some of the largest artists in the world, but their paths have only crossed virtually. The meeting at the airport was a special moment. The two hit it off instantly, barrages of insults and long overdue hugs.

The two carried this energy into their set. By lord they supplied the heat, on an evening where it was evident you lot had been drinking all day. Ges and Ben Prophet breathed life and energy into an intoxicated crowd. You lot were jumping, the live mix really reflects the energy in the crowd. Often I had to edit the crowd noise out because it was overbearing. Ges and Ben shelled heater after heater for us, most of which was their own music. Ben Prophet a now seasoned pro for Durham perfectly understood the assignment, playing some of the commercial bangers that's expedient of Durham whilst Ges complimented him perfectly with high octane Techno tracks. An night loved by all in attendance, a little too much by Ben..... (Check his Instagram).

I couldn't think of a better way to spend St. Patrick's Day than with two of Irelands best having the best time listening to a refreshing blend of heavy hitting Techno and those nostalgic bangers. Thanks again to everyone in attendance, it's you guys that make it all possible and I cannot be more appreciative.
