BARRY CAN'T SWIM & FRIENDS
Oxymoronic, we know. Barry Can't Swim sets sail, but don't worry we've bought him some armbands. He's bringing along his good friends Dejector & Tommy2000. Two of the hottest rising talents in the North East right now.
You all need no introduction to who Barry Can't Swim is, our sell-out show with him in February was insane. He's since then gone on and done us all proud, with some exceptional releases and headline shows and racked up quite the acclaim. With hefty features on Radio 1 and Spotify's Radar. Likewise, headlining Jaguar's Utopia and Cultivate Festival. He's on this steep trajectory upwards and we're beyond excited to firstly host him, to then be a part of his wonderful journey and finally, to showcase his amazing talent.

Barry Can't Swim returned in spectacular fashion. In just a few short months Barry Can't Swim has witnessed a meteoric rise. He's secured a states tour, played at sold out festivals, supported some of the U.K's biggest artists, had two features on BBC Radio 1 and released two new EP's. A lot can happen in just a few months and Barry Can't Swim is taking it all in stride. Now firmly at a running pace, the speed of life hasn't changed him as a person, still as humble and nice as ever. Still beyond belief that people are interested in what he does, combine that with his impeccable drive to create good music and you have yourself a dance megastar in the making. Repping one of our signature Snafu Tee's, we can't think of a better advocate for what we stand for. All about the music and having a good time.
With his debut album firmly in sight, we had reason to be excited. Off the back of his EU tour, there was every reason for Barry Can't Swim to not want to be here, but he loves our community. Providing two hours of blissful updated music over two shows for us, the difference in his already eclectic taste was evident, digging deeper and finding his sound. He played arguably the best set we've witnessed in our short history. We're far from done, and Barry Can't Swim is far from done with his venture and we're just happy to be part of it.
Alongside him was our usual suspect Tommy2000, the dynamic youngster showing us all why he deserves his reputation as a future star. Closing the boat in spectacular fashion before jetting off home to get some sleep before his A-Level exam the next day (yes he is that good at such a young age). Personally requested by Barry Can't Swim, Tommy2000 is causing a ruckus in the dance scene and turning the heads of these musical giants.
Dejector is our latest undiscovered gem. The man has it all, successful releases, live shows in tow and glistening career in music already. He came as a relatively unknown to all of us, but has firmly left his signature mark on Durham. With the prospect of an imminent return, expect to be hearing the name Dejector a lot more often.
